Why Powder Brows?

  • This technique is great for ALL ages and skin types!

  • Compared to other techniques, powder brows will last the longest (2+ years!) and ages beautifully over time.

  • Saves you time in the morning. You'll love waking up with brows!

What are Powder Brows?

A permanent cosmetic procedure done by implanting tiny dots into the skin with a handheld machine to create a fuller, shaded in, defined, brow! The results will mimic a brow that has been shaded in with eyeshadow powder, or pencil.

My Approach

My goal in mind is to always enhance what you already have! I believe in providing natural results. "Natural" can mean something different for everyone, so we'll get to know each other and decide what's best, while still being realistic about your goals and providing my professional opinion.

you cannot get powder brows done if you are/have...

1. Skin Conditions Near the Eyebrow Area:

  • Eczema and Psoriasis: Chronic skin conditions can influence the skin's capability to accept pigment and heal efficiently post-procedure.

  • Dermatitis: Skin inflammation can result in uncertain healing and a potential exacerbation of the condition.

  • Raised Scarring: Scarred skin may not retain pigment adequately, leading to the potential risk of additional scarring.

2. Specific Medical Conditions:

  • Autoimmune Diseases: Conditions like lupus or alopecia can affect how the skin recovers and retains pigment.

  • Blood Disorders: Diseases affecting blood clotting can cause increased bleeding during the session.

  • Diabetes: Uncontrolled diabetes might influence wound healing due to weakened immune function. A clearance from a physician will be required.

3. Medications and Substances:

  • Blood Thinners: These might cause increased bleeding during the session, impacting pigment retention.

  • Retinol or Retin-A: Routine users might witness quicker skin turnover, potentially influencing pigment acceptance.

  • Accutane: This medication can change skin characteristics. Waiting at least one year after concluding Accutane is advised before opting for powder brows.

4. Pregnant and Nursing:

Pregnancy and Nursing: Individuals who are pregnant or nursing are strongly discouraged from undergoing microblading. While the procedure typically involves the use of topical numbing agents and does break the skin's surface, it is generally considered safe. However, given that there's no conclusive evidence to confirm the absolute safety for the baby, we prioritize the well-being of both mother and child. Additionally, hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy can impact the skin's ability to retain pigment. As such, we regard pregnancy and nursing as absolute contraindications for microblading and other permanent makeup treatments.

5. Active Skin Infections:

  • Cold Sores and Shingles: Viral infections around the brow area can hinder healing.

  • Bacterial Infections: Infections like impetigo must be completely healed before undergoing powder brows.

6. Recent Cosmetic Procedures:

  • Botox: A two-week gap after botox injections is recommended to ensure the treated area stabilizes.

  • Chemical Peels and Laser Treatments: Such treatments can heighten skin sensitivity; adequate recovery time is crucial.

7. History of Keloids:

Those susceptible to keloidal scarring might face similar issues post-powder brows.

8. Chemotherapy Patients:

Chemotherapy impacts the body's healing capability, making outcomes less certain. A consultation with an oncologist about the procedure's timing is essential. A written approval from the oncologist will also be needed.
